When I first stepped off of the trail, and made my way into the Thompson River, I was amazed at what I saw . The River falls 125 feet here and the view is overwhelming. There are good views from the base here and the high rock ledge that runs up the right side.
My fascination with photography began in 2008. It began with a need to get out more and get more exercise, which led me on hikes to several of North Carolina's waterfalls. Amazed and taken by the beauty, and the power of falling water, I began to seek out and hike to more. Wanting to capture images of these beautiful waterfalls, I purchased my first digital camera, a cheap Sony pocket camera. Since that time, I am now on my fourth camera and my 2nd DSLR. I have also learned much along the way, about properly taking photos and processing them, with still much more to learn.
