Horse Trough Falls, is a true gem hidden deep, well in the upper Chattahoochee River drainage. The river runs through the Upper Chattahoochee Campground here and is merely a small creek that can be "rock-hopped" here. Horse Trough Falls is on a tributary stream, just up from its confluence with the Chattahoochee. It is one of the finest waterfalls I have seen in North Georgia and is a pretty simple hike, after a strenuous 5 mile drive up a narrow, twisty, steep dirt road.
My fascination with photography began in 2008. It began with a need to get out more and get more exercise, which led me on hikes to several of North Carolina's waterfalls. Amazed and taken by the beauty, and the power of falling water, I began to seek out and hike to more. Wanting to capture images of these beautiful waterfalls, I purchased my first digital camera, a cheap Sony pocket camera. Since that time, I am now on my fourth camera and my 2nd DSLR. I have also learned much along the way, about properly taking photos and processing them, with still much more to learn.
