Artist's Description
On my first visit to New York City, seeing the Statue of Libert close up was important to me. I found my way to the ferry and took the gorgeous ride out into the bay for some memorable captures. While on the island, I got right in front of of the statue for this photo. I feel the spectators near the bottom help to show her true scale!
About Chris Berrier
My fascination with photography began in 2008. It began with a need to get out more and get more exercise, which led me on hikes to several of North Carolina's waterfalls. Amazed and taken by the beauty, and the power of falling water, I began to seek out and hike to more. Wanting to capture images of these beautiful waterfalls, I purchased my first digital camera, a cheap Sony pocket camera. Since that time, I am now on my fourth camera and my 2nd DSLR. I have also learned much along the way, about properly taking photos and processing them, with still much more to learn.
